While this is not really applicable to our  service as we do not have a facebook page and all our BLOG comments are approved by me before posting – it is important for your general information.

“Mallee Track Health and Community Service – who is the approved provider for our preschool – has asked that I place this post on our facebook page on their behalf. A reminder that any users of our face book page (and other associated forms of social media) are required to observe the Privacy and Confidentiality policy and Information Communication Technology policy and procedure of our service. The intent of the policy is to ensure the privacy of children and families of the service is observed. Please keep this in mind when posting, adding others, tagging, liking and other various functions of facebook.   Facebook and social media is a great tool that assists in the operation of the service. These policies are available for review at the preschool. Alternatively, you can discuss them with staff at the service – or directly with Lois O’Callaghan from MTHCS. A failure to comply with these policies may mean that MTHCS will ask local committees to consider other forms of communication which exclude facebook and social media.
