Children’s transition to school has implications for their learning and development – both at the time of transition and into the future.  With this in mind our Pre school has developed a transition program with Manangatang P-12 College to ensure children arrive for the first day of school confident and happy.

During Term 2 we had the school children visit us at Pop-Up Adventure Play for three sessions.  This week we went to school for a story and a play outside.  We will continue to make visits to the school during fourth term to ensure we are ready for the transition.  Also in fourth term we will welcome the school children to come to Bush Kinder with us.  Forming relationships with others before we make the transition will help us fell confortable and welcome when we finally get to school.
